Old West Buckaroo Leather Bullwhip

Bullwhips were made for getting a bulls attention because they get very territorial when they have a harem of cows to protect. This allowed Cowboys to round up the cattle while the bull was detracted by the cracking noise the whip made. Once the herd was on its way the bull would peacefully take its place among them. The whip here has smooth plaiting with decorative brass studs on the handle. Just below the wrist lock a steel butt cap is featured. It consists of a handle section, a thong, a fall, and a cracker.
