Product Description
EROS was the god of love and sexual desire. At the Louvre is a statue called Old Centaur teased by Eros. It is a Roman copy (1st–2nd centuries AD) of a Greek original of the 2nd century BC. Marble, found in Rome in the 17th century, belonged to the Borghese collections. It has Eros on the centaur's back; teasing him with the arm of the centaur is pulled tautly back showing that he has his hands bound tightly behind his back, and "grimaces in pain and sorrow as an amorino pulls the centaur's head back at an abrupt angle. We have a similar rendition that has been romanticized to be put on front of a journal. On the front cover we show the Centaur breaking free of Eros and while getting away Cupid accidentally hits the Centaur with one of his arrows and while doing so his eyes fell onto a human maiden and instantly falls in love and dashes away with her in his arms. The Centaur’s Love Medieval Handmade Leather Journal is handmade and constructed of top quality leather. The front cover has an embossed Centaur design in the center with a decorative border. The back has a floral motif with the same border that matches the front. The inside has soft 100 g/m2, white color paper with 220 pages counting both sides. The pages are held together with brown sting which offers a unique design X design on the outside. When you are finish, simply close the flap and lock your thoughts up tightly inside with the antiqued closure.
