This battle-ready training katana has been meticulously forged from expert artisans using 1045 high carbon steel. The sharpened blade has a beautifully polished finish with a traditional wave-like hamon and deep bohi. The full tang of the blade is affixed to the handle with visible bamboo pegs. A white faux ray skin leather covers the handle and is wrapped with an umber-colored polyester rope in a traditional Japanese ito style. Zinc alloy is used to create the gorgeous round Tsuba that depicts a peaceful scene, as well as other fittings that adorn this beautiful piece. Included with this collector’s piece is a matching scabbard that features a metallic orange lacquer finish with an umber-colored polyester sageo. A black dust cover is also included to keep your sword safe and protected from the elements when not in use.
