Did Inuyasha Save the Best for Last?
8th Jan 2015

Did you happen to catch the final season of Inuyasha on Adult Swim? If you missed it, some are wondering whether it was the best season of the TV anime program. According to Tara Edwards of Kpop Starz, “For starters, every character in ‘Inuyasha’ gets their due in the final season in unique and action packed ways. For example, there's a fantastic episode in which beloved demon slayer Sango gets some much needed characterization in the form of reconnecting with her weapon. On the surface it seems to be an episode that's filled with silly love declarations for Miroku, but underneath that there's in depth exploration of Sango's greatest trait: her humility. In fact, humility seems to be a theme of ‘Inuyasha: The Final Act.’ The main story of ‘Inuyasha’ prior to this final season seems to be clouded by contrasting good and evil. It's not to say this theme of purification gets dropped in the final season - it doesn't. But instead I think the final season offers an answer as to what actually makes a person good and that is humility. Every character humbles themselves in the final season, including the deceptively prideful Sesshomaru. Speaking of Sesshomaru, ‘The Final Act’ also has all the coolest weapon upgrades of the series. It should be noted that none of the upgrades feel unearned. In fact, you could say that Sesshomaru's journey through ‘The Final Act’ involves not only mastering a legit attack with tenseiga, but also mastering his own new sword, Batsaiga.”
With the final season in the books, many fans will inevitably be left with a hole in their regular TV viewing schedules—perhaps even a hole in their daily routines. However, there are other ways to get your Inuyasha fix despite the fact that there aren’t going to be any new episodes. One way to keep Inuyasha in your life is with a replica of the Sword of Calamity from Armory Replicas.
This weapon is a must have for all anime fans. The sword has the looks of a regular katana but in the anime series, it means a lot to the defense of Inuyasha. It is made from Stainless Steel and has a black scabbard with a red ring at the top. The sword’s handle is wrapped with brown nylon string. Lastly, the guard on the katana is made from stainless steel.
