Popularity of the Skyward Sword Grows with Statuette Series

Even if you’ve never so much as touched a joystick, you probably know the game Zelda. One of the flagship games of the Nintendo Company, its legacy only continues to grow. What’s also growing is the Zelda collectibles market.
Recently, First 4 Figures revealed its statuette of Link riding a Loftwing. The statuette was inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. According to Mike Rutter of Game Informer, “Pre-orders for the statuette are open now, and the production run will be a scant 2,500 pieces. The figure measures 26” by 22” by 25” and is made out of polystone resin. Now for the bad news. This collectible is a bit pricy. Link and Loftwing will run you $459.99 with a $20.00 deposit.” With such a high price and such a small production run, it’s clear just how much people love the game and specifically, its star character Link.
In fact, Che Fisher of Movie Pilot, specifically highlights the Skyward Sword in his article “The Legend of Zelda: A Look Back At Link’s Best Moments.” In addition to three scenes from other Zelda games, he praises Fi’s Gratitude in the Skyward Sword. Fisher writes, “Don't get me wrong: there are a fair share of Zelda fans out there that would take Navi or Midna over Fi any day. She is, throughout the game, a kind of emotionless 'data receiver' that acts as a guide and her character - a near robotic, sort of distant friend - gets on many peoples nerves. Mine too. But that is precisely why, at the end of Skyward Sword, her farewell and gratitude to Master (who, only once in the whole game, does she call by name) stands out to me as such a memorable moment. And the music... oh that wonderful, peaceful, depressing and gentle composition. Press play if you feel like contemplating nature for a while.”

Not all Skyward Sword fans are looking to spend nearly $500 on a statuette. Luckily, there are more affordable, high quality Zelda-inspired collectible weapons at Armory Replicas. These items include our Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword. This sword has a glossy metallic blue metal hilt and guard. There are hand painted green accents on the hilt, a signature of the Skyward Sword. Furthermore, the guard is decorated with golden painted accents to make the piece pop. The Skyward Sword’s 440 stainless steel blade comes with a factory edge and the Triforce symbol etched on both sides of the blade. Included with the sword is a wooden wall plaque, silkscreened with a golden Triforce symbol and darkened around the outer edges.
